Sabeena Admani

Sabeena Admani comes with over a decade of academic and professional experience within the Australian social-legal nexus. She holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminology and Political Science and a Master’s degree in Criminology from the University of Melbourne. While working with vulnerable groups in Victoria, Sabeena undertook a Graduate Diploma in Domestic and Family Violence and is mental health first aid (MHFA) trained.

Her career has focused on human rights, social justice, and crisis intervention. Sabeena has worked with the Castan Centre for Human Rights in Victoria, interned with the Islamic Council of Victoria, and presented academic research on the abolishment of corporal punishment.

Sabeena worked at VincentCare, Australia for six years as a senior case manager, supporting individuals affected by alcohol and drug addiction, people transitioning from incarceration back into the community, and victim-survivors and perpetrators of domestic and family violence.

Her experience across complex social systems and frontline work supporting marginalised socio-economic communities has shaped her analytical, strategic, and people-focused approach that sits at the forefront of her working ethos.
